LAMBIE!!

When bedtime starts approaching, Lorelai talks to Mama and Daddy about how dark it is getting outside. It gets her ready for pajamas, brushing hers and Lambie’s teeth, singing and rocking, then kisses and bed. Lambie makes it all run smooth. We misplaced her last night so Mama went out and got us a back up. Someday we will find the original too.

Lorelai has been trying very hard to go on the potty chair like a big girl this week-- mainly because if she does go, Daddy gives her a few marshmallows as a reward! This has caused many false-alarm potty trips, complete with smiles and chatter about marshmallows while we wait in the bathroom.

Lorelai loves to hide behind the curtain, sitting on her bench and watching her iPad. It is alot like making her own fort. Sometimes she will peek back around to see what Mama and Daddy are doing or request a new beverage.

Lorelai has been learning about playing Red Light-Green Light with Aunt Momo while taking a walk around the neighborhood with her cousins. She loves going on the walk and playing the game-- if only the concept of red lights would carry over to car travel! "Here we go, Mama!"

We went to two parties today and you know what that means... double the amount of happy cake! Lorelai had a great time playing with the kids at Linda's graduation party-- it was a great big balloon fest! Later on, we went to Lucas' birthday party at his house. He had a pinata and legos! Of course, Lorelai had a wonderful time playing with her cousins until it was bedtime.

A rare photo opportunity these days-- Lorelai is wearing a denim skirt! There was apparently some dramatic feelings about wearing the skirt in the morning but she eventually forgot about her bare legs by the time Mama got home from work.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Today, Lorelai had her first haircut at the Kids Kuts in Springfield. She sat on the green frog, bravely, at the promise of an orange dum-dum pop while Rae gave her a little bob with bangs. We received an envelope with a piece of her hair and a certificate of bravery.Frozen was playing on the TV in the room and undoubtedly Olaf and Sven (Kristof) put her at ease.
She refused to pose for any pictures after her hair had dried but be assured, she looks adorable even if her Mama's heart is a little sad to have cut her locks.

Happy birthday, Mama!
This day was full of some wonderful memories and adventures.
While at work, Lorelai told her Daddy that she  "wants more paper Sven" so Mama printed off a few coloring pages from the movie Frozen-- her request was too adorable.
When Mama got home, Lorelai excitedly exclaimed "happy birthday!" and then launched into a long story about bananas, sandwiches, and angry birds (inspired by her surprise eggs).
We went to dinner and had dip it, bread, salad, and noodles with a cup of milk and a real straw (at the Olive Garden). Then afterwards, we picked up mini cupcakes and Lorelai helped Mama blow out the birthday candles.
Then, just before bed  we heard Lorelai make a loud fart. Mama asked Lorelai if she needed to go to the potty and she walked to Ian, patted him on the stomach, and told him "ok, Daddy. I'll be right back. I am going to go to the potty now." And with that, she turned and walked out of the room. Daddy quickly followed to assist.... and she peed in the potty for the first time!! While she was pushing, she told her Daddy that she was pooping but really only pee came and that is just fine too. It takes awhile to learn about potty time.

Look at that tiny super hero, flying thru there air with her own sound effects. Lorelai is a super flyer!

Later on after she was back in her normal-person disguise, Lorelai borrowed Daddy's clippers to trim her toenails. Daddy and Lorelai are very big on pedicures.

Uncle Pat and Aunt Lauren are visiting on their way home to Arkansas from a wedding at State College. All of the family was very excited to see them.

Lorelai spent the day with Gigi and Uncle Spike. They went to the park and afterwards tried out their new bubble gun. While they were having fun, Mama and Daddy were helping Nana clean out the garage. Mama found a horse she had when she was a little girl and brought it home for Lorelai to enjoy. Upon seeing the new horse, Lorelai give him a great big hug and kiss, making her Mama quite proud.

Lorelai is making her Daddy "comfy-cozy" under her blankey number 2 by tucking him in. Being comfy-cozy is Lorelai's new favorite thing that she learned from Gigi.

When Mama got home from work today, Lorelai met her at the door. She gave a long story about what she and Daddy did that day and followed it up with "Mama put on pajamas" with some vigorous nodding. Lorelai has marvelous ideas.

Time for your check up, Staypuft! Lorelai uses this one to check Staypuft's eyes and his ears. She wants to make sure her toys are in good working order-- nice and healthy.

Lorelai climbed up on Daddy's back (after demanding he lay on the floor with her). She pulled up his shirt and wiggled under it-- she declared it a blanket, giggling all the time. Later, she demanded rides from her horsey... and though he wasn't a fan, Daddy-horsey took her on a few trips around the room.

Sammi Kelly gave Lorelai a tricycle today. She was very excited for the new present. Lorelai did not want to come back inside for dinner.
(Also, please note-- Lorelai. Wears. Pants. Even when she allows a dress to be put on her.)

Later to distract Lorelai so we could put away the tricycle, we let her climb into the car. Lorelai was excited to take over the driving and really thought that she was going somewhere. With Daddy in the car, she kept commanding "here we go!" which is what we say when we pull out of the driveway.

Lorelai was coloring and watching Daniel Tiger tonight. Every so often, she would turn around and cheer "I did it!" while clapping, expecting Mama and Daddy to clap along. Yay, Lorelai!!

Lorelai brushes her own teeth and the she wanted to brush Lambie's teeth. It's important to keep Lambie's teeth nice and clean. Brush up and down and all around!

Aunt Momo is super fun. She took the kids for a walk all around the neighborhood tonight after Sunday dinner. And, of course, Lorelai brought her backpack with her. We don't go very far without our backpack in tow.

Lorelai got to meet Great Aunt Loretta today at Gigi's house. Loretta is visiting from California, on her way to Connecticut to see Great Aunt D. Lorelai was her typical adorable self, amazing friends and family alike with her advanced developments.

Lorelai went to the park today with Daddy, Jim, Taigh, and Arianna today. She was so excited to get to the slides, she ran straight from the car... only to be thwarted by the black bumper around the playground. She turned around and had to wait and ask Daddy for help to get at her treasure.
