Daddy dressed his little princess in beach gear. Lorelai has on a crabber shirt, fishie skirt, and a shark hat. Adorable. She received many compliments at the grocery store today.

We took a family trip today to Ikea to buy a new dresser for Lorelai's big girl room. Daddy and Lorelai met Mama at the store-- Mama had been painting Beauregard's portrait with Uncle Devin and Aunt Sarah beforehand. In the store, Lorelai had a grand time surprising Mama, finding kids to play with, and coloring on Ikea pamphlets with Ikea pencils. Ikea is a very fun store.

Lorelai spent what seemed like the whole day today drawing pictures for her Pop-pop. Every time Mama or Daddy asked what she was doing, her little eyebrows came together, she got a very serious look on her face and she'd say "it's for Pop-pop!" and would not discuss it any further.

Lorelai suddenly took a nap this afternoon around the same time as Mama. She just came over next to Daddy on the couch, she snuggled in next to Daddy to watch a show on her iPad and then drifted off to sleep. Later on, it was clear that she wasn't feeling well and the nap was just a precursor to that.

Lorelai was so proud-- she built a tower with her dice on the window sill. "I DID IT!"

Lorelai had a special marshmallow treat tonight. Daddy gave her two with her cookie. She immediately shoved both marshmallows into her mouth, whole. Her love of marshmallows is intense.

Happy birthday, Pop-pop. Be careful, Gigi-- your cake isn't safe if you leave it in the reach of Miss Lorelai. If she can get her fork into your icing, she will!

Lorelai was chanting "USA USA" again as we watched the US play in the World Cup. She and Jacob really got into yelling "GOAAAALLLLL" every time our team scored.

Lorelai and Daddy took 3 different trips outside today to blow bubbles. Lorelai is a big, big fan.

Peek-a-boo!!
Lorelai loves to spend time at her window, playing with the curtains, hiding, looking for animals. Tonight she discovered lightening bugs out her window.  "Lightening bugs are blinking!" She is so excited to see them flying in the backyard.

Lorelai is great at playing pretend. Often when she sees us take out the camera, she stops what she is doing to find out what Mama and Daddy are doing. "I want to see it!" we hear all the time. Here is a rare shot Daddy was able to capture of Lorelai's imaginary world.

Lorelai loves a variety of snacks. Tonight, Daddy took Lorelai to the store while Mama took a nap. They came home with some very fun snacks. Lorelai was most excited for the popcorn-- she loves to hold her snacks in her own special bowls or plates.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy! We spent the afternoon at Pop-pop and Gigi's house. Grand Boop and Pop-pop and Eva were there as well to have barbeque and ice cream. Aunt D took Lorelai upstairs and taught her how to roll around on and mess up Gigi's bed. Lorelai was a very excited student- no surprise there.

We had a fun-filled day with Christopher today. First, Lorelai and Chris went to Lowe's to build a dragon at their kid's workshop. Next, we shopped with Aunt Mo for a Father's Day present for Pop-pop. Afterwards, we went to lunch at Panera. Later in the night, we met back up to go to the Wilmington Blue Rocks Minor League game. Lorelai taught Chris to chant "USA USA" during the game, a throw back to the Olympics this year. The Blue Rocks won and we had a terrific day all around.

Lorelai loves to sing the songs from Frozen. She puts her whole heart into the songs."Let It Go!" is one of her favorites to rock out to.

Dylan came over after school today. He and Lorelai build a blanket fort-- Lorelai's first. She was so excited, she made the walls fall down many times much to Dylan's dismay.

Tonight, Mama put training pants on Lorelai. At first, she was not happy with the change. By the end of the night, Lorelai was trying to get Daddy to let her wear them to bed.

Feeling better today! Lorelai used her imagination and was playing all morning with her princesses and her ponies.

Lorelai loves clothes with capes. Sometimes, that is the best way to get her into her pajamas. Then she flies up the stairs to brush her teeth and flies into her bed.

Oh, no. Lorelai isn't feeling very good today. She just wanted to sit on the couch and cuddle with Mama and Daddy and her lambie.

Daddy was teaching Lorelai how to play T-Ball. Lorelai was determined to hit the ball down the hill into the street rather than into the yard. Lorelai can be quite headstrong when she wants to be.

Frozen in the Park! We met up with Aunt Mo, Chris, and Frank to watch Frozen outside on a big blow up screen. Lorelai loved watching it with a big crowd-- singing and yelling "oh no!" at all the appropriate places.

Lorelai went “swimming” in the tub today for over an hour today.

Tonight when Daddy served dinner,  Lorelai though to give him an encouraging pat on the back… "good job, Daddy" with lots of nodding.

So beautiful in her pretty pink dress. Lorelai wanted to dress like her Mama today. Queue the Everything is Awesome Lego Movie dance party and her night was complete.

Today at Target, Lorelai insisted we help her put on a headband… and then two, then three! Possibly because they had cupcakes on them, who knows? Either way, Lorelai was adorable shopping at Target and that is all that matters. This could be the start of future hair-accessory approval.

FLAVOR!

Lorelai and Daddy talked about going out to get flavor (water ice) with Mama all day until Mama came home from work. Right at the front door, Lorelai comes bolting out asking for a flavor outing, pleasssseeeeeee! We went out right away for flavor, delaying dinner prep but for a very good cause!

Lorelai likes to travel with her book (iPad). Her cousins also enjoy when she pulls out her iPad… they al crowd around as soon as it comes out. Lorelai knows how to hold a boy’s attention.
