Lorelai was beside herself with excitement for today. Today we go TRICK OR TREATING! And we get to do that with our cousins Lucas and Jacob! And there is candy! And she will wear an Anna dress. AND there is CANDY!!

Lorelai is getting better every day with her potty training. She loves to pick out her own prize for using the potty chair.

Daddy brought out his Star Wars Micromachine toys for Lorelai to enjoy. She can't get enough Star Wars these days. Daddy is very proud.

Today while holding Lex with Daddy, Lorelai declared her ownership if her baby brother. Mama was trying to take Lex to be nursed. Lorelai promptly declared, gripping her brother tight and drawing her eyebrows together-- "Lex is mine now. I take care of him!"

We went to Dutch Wonderland today with the Stebbins' for some Halloween fun.
Lorelai, our little dare devil, loved getting on rides with her cousins and Daddy. She was able to get on a train, a ride where you fly like Superman, spinning turtles, roller coaster, and something that throws you in the are an bounces the riders slowly back down... just to name a few.
There was trick-or-treating at the park too. Lorelai and her sweet tooth was very excited.

Lorelai watched Star Wars (or Star Lows, as she calls it) for the first time today.
Here is a quick run down of her reactions:

Star Lows.
Audible gasps when the Blockade Runner get's shot, and when Darth Vader first walks onto the Blockade Runner. 
Princess Lega.
Robots!
When the ships captain is killed and Darth Vader throws him against the bulk head and he falls to the ground. "Oh he fell down. He's doing ring around the rosie"

Gigi's birthday is this week! We went over to have pizza and cake with our family to celebrate. Lorelai impressed everyone with her book reading (picture interpreting) skills while we waited for the cake and ice cream. Lorelai loves a good birthday party!

One screen and show just isn't enough sometimes. Lorelai needed to watch Frosty the Snowman and people opening surprise eggs at the same time it seems. Good thing Mama has an extra phone for just such an occasion.

Lorelai declared herself a doctor today and sang Doc McStuffins songs while giving Mama, Daddy, Lex, and herself a check up. After a few shots or bandages, we all passed her strenuous tests.

Lorelai and Mama went out to lunch at a restaurant with Nana for some Big Girl time. While we were out, Lorelai asked to go to the potty. Mama thought that she was just curious to see the potty and was very surprised when Lorelai sat on the big potty and peed! Great job, Lorelai!!
Nana bought Lorelai a chocolate teddy bear ice cream to celebrate.

Lorelai and her dolly helped to take Lex to his one month appointment at the Doctor's today.
While we were there, the nurse gave Lorelai a flu shot-- and Lorelai didn't even notice that it happened. Daddy held Lorelai while the nurse was getting set up. The nurse rubbed Lorelai's arm with a wipe, gave her the shot and was applying the band aide before Lorelai realized the nurse was working on something. She looked confused about the bandage then explained to Mama that it was for her bug bite. No tears, no pain.

Lorelai asked her Daddy very sweetly to play guys with her today. The story behind their playing? Guys were in the elevator of the princess castle... "Oh no we're trapped! Help!" "*swosh swosh! To the rescue!" Princesses were saving Batman and Superman. Batman saved a Princess. Rescuing was happening all over the place! And it seems that no one was learning from their mistakes and keeping clear the defective elevator. When will they learn?

Every morning, Lorelai comes down, sits on her potty, and reads the Fireman book to Mama and Lex. She is getting better with using the potty everyday.

Lorelai gets so excited when her cousin Dylan comes over after school. When she hears that she will be playing with Dylan, Lorelai will dance around and cheer. She loves just being able to spend time with him by themselves.

Lorelai was more than thrilled to go visit Nana and Pop pop to cook dinner for them today. We made poppy seed chicken and rice and Lorelai got to show off her baby Lex. While eating, Lorelai regaled us with stories of Twilight Sparkle defeating the bad guy that roared (characters compliments of My Little Pony).

Just like a great big sister would, Lorelai is very committed to teaching Lex everything that she can. She gets right down on his mat to show him all of the wonderful toys that are available to him on the floor. Lorelai loves to be involved in Lex's development.

We went to Mama's work today! Lorelai was very excited to roam the halls-- most likely because the last time she was at work, Lorelai received a balloon and candy... and this trip was no different. Lorelai was quite charming and was gifted candies and seven balloons for her efforts.

We had Gallagher Family Fun night today at Great Aunt Reen's house. Lorelai got to see all of family... and most importantly-- COUSINS!! Lorelai was very excited to play outside and dance to Pop pop playing guitar.

Lorelai spent the day wearing big girl underwear! While there were a few accidents, there was more successes overall which resulted in two cookies, some tic tacs, colors (what Lorelai calls Reese Pieces), and two lollipops (one red and one blue). Lorelai was on happy, big girl.

Lorelai has been obsessing over Frost the Snowman ever since seeing a blow-up yard decoration at BJ's Wholesale earlier in the week. Using Mama's iPhone, Lorelai asks Siri to play Frosty videos whenever she remembers they are out there on the web. It is adorable but concerning-- it is only October!

Pop pop, Gigi, Uncle Spike, and Aunt Erin are home from their trip to Europe so we went to see them! Lorelai loved playing Ring Around the Rosie with Gigi and Spike-- she demanded several performances throughout the night. Our little tyrant, she was excited to have her audience back to play with.

Tonight was the first game of the Flyer's season, 2014. Daddy, Lorelai, and Lex watched the Flyers v. Bruins game together. Let's go, Flyers!

For the most part, Lex just wanted to be held today. In the evening, he was content to snuggle in with sister, Lorelai, while big sister shared her book and heart blanket. Lorelai made sure her videos were something she thought Lex wanted to see and that her brother was comfy-cozy. They are best friends,

Continuing on our potty training journey, this morning Mama read Even Firefighters Go to the Potty while Lorelai sat on the potty and baby brother and Daddy cheered her on! And... she peed! Lorelai was awarded a cookie!!

Mama made this crochet circle for a project and left a long tail on it. Lorelai has since found the circle and insists that it is a jump rope. She will hold the ends in her hands, throw her arms up and down waving the string, and jump as hard and fast as she can. She gets so excited and shouts out that she is jumping rope! Adorable.

Dylan came over today after school. What follows is Lorelai's rendition of what she and Dylan did together.

Lunchbox and eating and play football and watched Mickey and I bounced so Dylan could hear it but he couldn't hear it and played game and fighting and castles and fun and all sorts of stuff...

Lorelai taught Mama and Daddy how to juggle today. Juggling, it seems, is throwing balls in the air all at once and laughing hysterically.
