We took a family picture tonight. Going to the shoot, Lorelai kept insisting that she did not want to get her picture taken. It was only because Gigi and Spikey needed new picture of her for their refrigerator that she agreed to go.

Lorelai is beyond excited to help Lex learn about eating and puffs. Lex is trying banana flavor today for the first time. The flavor may be a little strong for him.

We had dinner at cousin Chris's house tonight. Though she had an accident while out, she went 2 weeks with no accidents and 5 days in a row waking up dry! Potty training is going great!

Today we went to a party for Mama's cousin Dan. He is joining the Navy this week and we wanted to wish him well. Good luck, Dan, and take care!

Lorelai built a village today.

This morning Lorelai woke up daddy earlier than usual. She told him that she needed to go potty. When daddy helped her to sit on the potty upstairs, daddy came to find that she had a dry diaper. Lorelai had woken up to pee in the potty this morning!!

Today is the first time Lorelai has ever paid attention to a whole movie from start to finish. Tonight during dinner, we watched Tinkerbell. After dinner, Lorelai was requesting a third desert (already having had a Popsicle and some of mama's ice cream). "I have space for it right here, mom" she said as she was pointing at her right shoulder implying that the cupcake space in her stomach was right there.

We had our birthday cake at Nana's today. it was chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting - yummy! And it's the first time we had no accidents while we are playing with our cousins. Big girl!!

We had dinner with Grand-Boop tonight. Lorelai insisted get Erin get to help her since Gigi was away. Erin was honored and understandably nervous to be selected.

Lorelai and Lex had a doctor's appointment today. Lorelai did a great job-- they checked her growth and development. Lorelai was a little nervous but spent much of her time making sure Lex was well taken care of. No shots for our little lady too! That is always a plus.

Happy third birthday to the wild, carefree, opinionated, lovable, sweet, little princess Lorelai. She's a big sister and a people and a wonderful girl.

Today we went for mommy and me mani-pedis as a special treat. Lorelai was so good, waiting forget nails to dry and being so polite. She picked both of our polish- blue for her nails and electric orange in the toes, hot pink for mama's toes.

Lorelai went to Gigi's house today to make special birthday cupcakes for dessert tonight. She also gotot pick out the pretty balloons for the party tonight with the family. She is so excited to turn 3.

She woke up super early today. Daddy convinced her that she wanted to take a nap after going potty. She got to sleep on Mama's side of the bed.

Lorelai gave Lex the foam lamb she used to play with when she was his age. I brought a small tear to mama's eye.

We celebrated Nicky's birthday today at Nana's house. Lorelai is still confident that her birthday should be first but she had a good time playing with his birthday presents.

Lorelai and Lex were invited over to Gigi's house today for a sleepover! Lorelai was more than happy to except on both of their behalves.

Lorelai and Mama went on a shopping adventure today to get Nicky a birthday present. During the trip, she declared that all birthdays henceforth would be for Lorelai and, in particular, Nicky does not have a birthday any longer.

Lorelai and Lex have been getting along really well. Now that Lex is a bit more mobile, he tries to join her for lunch. Lex is not ready for the foods that big girls get, though, and Lorelai is very good about keeping him safe from her meal.

And as soon as I say that she does something funny.  She was singing Let It Go but said,  "I don't care what my mom says".

We watched Big Hero 6 today at Nana's house with some of our cousins. It was a good movie with a very funny robot!

Lorelai was overjoyed to have another project to go to this morning. We met up with Aunt Mo and Chris to make bookends at the Home Depot. There was painting involved so she was over the moon excited. Before we left, Lorelai peed in the big kid potty too!

We took Lex's monthly photo today. Lorelai asked if she could use the dry erase board when we were done. She wanted to first write her name and then add more colors. We need to start working on our letters soon but you have to appreciate her enthusiasm.

Daddy sent Mama these text messages today at 10:46am, following a conversation with Lorelai.

“Also Lorelai is disappointed that Nicky’s birthday is before hers.

She asked if hers could be first.

And her guesses for how old she’ll be were 4 and 16.”

Lorelai developed Elsa's snow powers and made it very white outside today!

 Also on a numerous note, Lorelai came downstairs and saw all of her balloons hanging low in the air, deflating. She turned to Daddy and said "Awww. Now it's a small party."

Mama brought Lorelai 22 balloons from work today. Lorelai raced around the room collecting, sorting, releasing, running, and gathering them again and again. Over and over, she was giggling about her "balloon party".

Lorelai found a Minnie Mouse puzzle yesterday and has been very interested in working on it. Mama taught her about looking for the smooth sides to find the edges but her preferred method seems to be looking at the shape itself and how it will connect with another shape. It seems a second thought to use the picture to help put the puzzle back together again.

Lorelai and Mama put on blanket capes and flew around the family room. Whhhhhewwwww! We are super heros!

Getting in bed, though, Lorelai told Daddy that when she grows up, she is going to be big... But not a superhero. She'll be big like people.
