Yay, Flyers!! Despite her hardy cheering, we were unable to support the Flyer's to victory and we lost in game 7 of the Playoffs.

Let's go, Flyers! Lorelai loves the new pom poms Mama brought home from work today to cheer on the Flyers in the first round of the Playoffs. She loves to shake them vigorously and cheer "yayyyyy!"

Lorelai put this Hello Kitty card on her head and declared it "a hat!"

When Mama got home late from work tonight, Lorelai sat down to read a story aloud. This story, brought to you by the Reader's Digest, featured the words "mac and cheese" in almost every other sentence. It was too adorable hearing Lorelai use words she knew and ones she invented to share her excitement about the dinner she had just finished.

Happy birthday, Beth!
We went to Beth's birthday party today and had a wonderful time playing with all of her toys, eating her fruit and cake, and running around in the backyard. Taigh, Aiden, and Lorelai played very well together.
Pat Gal goes back home tomorrow night so we stopped by to see him at Nana and Pop-pop's after the party. Pat and the cousins played lightsaber glow sticks again. It was super fun.

We took Uncle Pat Gal to the Zoo today to see the zebras, monkeys, and mingos! It was great to spend a few hours with Pat looking at some of Lorelai's favorite animals at the Zoo.
The evening was followed up with more excitement-- picking up Dylan at school and going to the D'Orazio's to watch the Flyer's playoff game. The D'Orazio's served pizza and popcorn, both of which Lorelai loves. We followed the game up with glow stick lightsaber bracelets and singing songs from Frozen.

Today is Aunt Mo's birthday and Uncle Pat came home from Arkansas for the weekend! These both bring up a reason for happy cake, one of Lorelai's favorite past times.

Today while Daddy was on the phone with Uncle Spike, Lorelai took out her toy cell phone that she got in her Easter basket too. She paced around the room, imitating Daddy as he paced around and talked to his brother.

"I want to see Anna and Sven!" She loves to sing along to the songs, watch the videos, basically enjoy all things Frozen.

Lorelai is a big girl that does her buckles all by herself. She has gotten quite good at it though it can sometimes take a little longer than Daddy wants to wait for when serving up dinner.

Happy Easter! Lorelai couldn't help but try to open every egg while Mama and Daddy weren't looking. She calls the candy inside "Easter" so all morning we heard "I want more Easter!"

Lorelai helped Mama check all of the plastic Easter eggs for the Bunny-- making sure there is no more candy left over from last year's holiday before the Bunny's visit tonight. Lorelai is a fan of Surprise egg and Kinder egg videos on YouTube so every time she opened the eggs, she asked where the prize was.
There will be prizes tomorrow, little one.

It is a beautiful spring day! Lorelai went to the Memorial Park to try out a new set of slides and swings. Today was the first time Lorelai would brave a twisty slide. It was very difficult to climb up backwards which really frustrated our girl. There was a neat bridge that we could bounce, bounce, bounce on if we used the stairs to the slide so that made up for it at least.

Lorelai has been having a fun time with the fan she received in Sunshine's goodie bag. It is paper so... we expect it won't last much longer but the look of surprise and delight on her face as she opens and closes it is simply priceless.

We took Lorelai out tonight to get Big Sister pictures taken! Lorelai insisted on playing with the blocks so we used that to our advantage. Lorelai is going to be a gran Big Sister and an exciting Ring Leader for the children of our friends.

JENSEN!!! We put the baby in a more huggable location soon after arriving at D&D tonight. Lorelai was overjoyed... Jensen was ok with it too, I suppose.

Happy 3rd birthday, Taigh! We went to his Mickey Mouse party today to help him celebrate. There were so many kids to play with-- Lorelai was very excited... and quite tired by the end of the day.

Mama printed some pages so Lorelai can color Anna and Sven. Lorelai is very serious about Anna. And Sven, both characters from Disney's new movie Frozen.

Chris came over tonight to spend the evening. The two of them had a great time playing together. At the end of the meal, Lorelai shared her donut cakes with jimmie beans.

Part of our bedtime routine sometimes includes a family snuggle in Mama and Daddy's bed before we brush our teeth.
At lunch today, Daddy asked Lorelai if she wanted a banana and she said "cook me a sandwich!" She's adorable.

There was a pinata with tootsie rolls, cupcakes, cookies, and bubble. This was a lovely party indeed.

Lorelai spent the evening with the D'Orazio's tonight while Mama and Daddy went to a musical. She had a wonderful time hugging Jacob and playing with his toys. Eventually, the two of them settled down to snuggle and watch some Disney Junior. Lorelai had a fantastic time using Jacob as a pillow and Jake was fine with that as long as he could still see the television.

Mama got out of work early today so we went to the park down the street from Gigi's house. Lorelia tried out all of the many swings and climbed up the bridge all by herself, though she was quite nervous with the climb.

Lorelia picks out the majority of her outfits these days and sometimes, Daddy works it out to match. They are quite the team.

Lorelai's love of balloons is still going strong. Mama brought home 10 new balloons from a party at work. Lorelai was very excited and asked immediately if she could count them. She is quite the skilled counter. She also wants to count when she walks up and down the steps on her feet like a very, very big girl.

Lorelai insisted that we take "jimmie beans" home with us tonight from Nana's house. As we were leaving, Aunt Mo, Chris, and Frank were eating ice cream and Lorelai knew exactly what part of all that she couldn't live without. Mama put some in a ziplock bag and Lorelai insisted on carrying them in her pocket and in her hand the whole ride home. Immediately once we were in the door, Lorelai was calling for her jimmie beans to be opened.

Today Lorelai declared that she wanted to lay down in Mama's nap spot after lunch.

We took Lorelai to get her birthday pictures tonight. Mama and Daddy didn't realize that there was a set of markers in with her new cupcakes. A bit of coloring later and now we are all well aware. She's certainly of her own mind now that she is 2. Though if you ask her, Lorelai tells everyone that she just turned 3!

Lorelai loves to hijack Mama's cell phone so she can look at pictures of kids and herself. Sometimes, her curious fingers get the best of her and she wanders into other programs as well.

Uncle Pat sent Lorelai a birthday present all the way from Arkansas. She made immediate good use of the colored pencils, crayons, and princess coloring book. Mama put the markers and play-dough away for a special occasion play time. Certainly, Lorelai will enjoy them greatly as well.

Daddy: 12:31pm. :/ Lorelai is getting so big. Today at lunche I usually only give her half a sandwich but she assked for more. She's eating a whole sandwich and banana like a big people.

Daddy: 1:41pm. "Lorelai did you poop?" "I don't think so."

Lorelai likes to spend a good portion of her play time coloring. After we got home from Gigi's slumber party, Lorelai was gung-ho for breaking out the twistable crayons and paper. She usually wants to draw people that she knows and/or french fries (which appear to be straight lines). A budding artist.

It is finally warm enough out for a trip to the Zoo! Lorelai was too excited to see her favorites-- 'mingos, zebras, giraffs, kitties, and elephants (which is really a statue at the opening of the zoo).
This was a wonderful one year old birthday present from Nana and Pop-pop... and they gave Lorelai the membership again for her 2nd birthday! We'll be making good use of that, I am sure. Lorelai loves animals!

"Time for your check up." Lorelai had her doctor's visit today. She took her doctor's kit too so she could help the doctor. Other than a little nervousness when the doctor arrived, she was fine with the whole thing. She didn't cry for her shots... our brave little princess.
