Lorelai and Mama went to Lucas's baseball game this morning. Jacob was very excited to play with her on the swings while Uncle Ron helped to coach. Aunt Mo and Chris came to play for a while too! Lorelai entertained the crowd by making up new songs with her cousins about having fun and swinging together.

Happy birthday, Lucas! Lorelai had an awesome time with her cousins today at Lucas's party. There was splashing and candy, cake and giggles. At one point, all of the cousins disappeared and were found next to a pile of wrappers inside the playset clubhouse and they thought their parents wouldn't notice!

Aunt Cait gave Lorelai a stuffed horse at Christmas. Recently, Lorelai has taken to grooming his mane and tail with her hairbrush, making him very beautiful and not so messy-mess. She also has taken over (for the most part) her own hair brushing. Mama and Daddy still like to give it a finishing polish but Lorelai enjoys being in control of things that she is capable of doing.

Lorelai had a wonderful day playing with her cousin Chris at the park and his house. After dinner, Chris took out his bike and Lorelai raced him on foot exclaiming that she is "fast like a cheeto!" Before going home, Aunt Mo gave Lorelai marshmallows and chocolate. She knows the way to her heart.

Lorelai is sporting another unique fashion choice today for our dinner at a restaurant with Grand Boop, Pop-pop, and Gigi. She is a little girl that knows what she likes.
Today we watched Cinderella for the first time. Lorelai was especially upset to see "those girls ripped Cinderella's dress" and the mice turn into horses. In the end, she was a fan of the Disney classic film.

We went shopping for a birthday present for Lucas today. While out we ran into Peter Pan (Nana's friend, Eddie). Lorelai spun, twirled, and danced around while Eddie and Mama talked a little.

"Peter Pan liked my moves and gave me a Jesse hat!"

We had a 10am appointment today to visit Lorelai's new pre-school, Saint Matthew's Christian Nursery School. Lorelai was so excited to be there and to see all of the kids. She is going to have a great time starting in September!

Happy birthday, Mama. We went out to dinner together as a family to celebrate. Lorelai takes after her mother in being a big fan of breadsticks.

When Mama got home from work today, Lorelai rushed to show her "Lea-lard-o's" injured hand. Some time while she was playing today and swinging him around, Leonardo's hand ripped on a seam. Mama knew just what to do and sewed up his hand to be stronger than ever. While we were at it, we closed up a back seam on Lambie. Lorelai was very grateful.

Lorelai is allowed to make necklaces in the back room only when Lex is napping. Our beads are very small and could hurt Lexington if he puts them in his little baby mouth.
Lorelai continues to make necklaces almost every day. She likes to use long strands and bead for hours. Her current necklace has been earmarked for her Pop-pop. He is going to love it.

Lorelai has her Pop-pop wrapped around her finger. It never fails that when she is visiting, Lorelai will sweet talk him into giving her at least two sweet treats before we leave for home. And it would seem that Pop-pop is more than happy to be victim to her charm.

Today we mailed Lauren her Mother's day necklace. Lorelai wrote her a very nice card with lots of colors. She was pointing out her name on the card for Mama as well.
When asked about the necklace gift, Lorelai jumped around the room saying: "They are gonna love them. And put them on their computer. They're for Mother's Day celebration. Bead necklace!"  Lorelai is very proud of her creations.

Lorelai has declared her new sun hat to be magic. She has been wearing it all around the house and driving daddy a little bonkers because she doesn't have a ton of spacial awareness. The hat has almost been crushed many times today.

She is growing up into a young woman so quickly. Lorelai is a remarkable little girl with a lot of personality and confidence.

Lorelai is building a wall to help keep Lex inside the back room. Lex has been on the move and Lorelai wants to help Daddy and keep her brother safe at the same time.

Lorelai woke up from a nightmare last night. She was worried about spiders and bugs. She asked for the stars light to be on so she can see at night. Daddy thinks it's because she saw a bee in her playroom yesterday.

"It's Mother's Day! All the moms are so excited!" - is what Mama heard this morning as Lorelai was waking her up.

Adorably, Lorelai expanded her Mother's Day necklace project from just for Nana and Gigi to include all of her cousin's mommies too. She declared that all of the mommys needed a necklace and got to work making them. Aunt Cait's was first then came Aunt Mo and Aunt Col. She keeps talking about making one for Aunt Lauren (she is a puppy mommy) and Pop-pop (not sure on the logic of that one other than she loves Pop-pop). Mama is hopeful that she will also be a lucky recipient of a necklace in the near future.

It was a super busy day today! Lorelai and Mama went to a project, went to Ikea with Nana, and made necklaces. Then we gathered up the family and went to dinner with Grand Boop.

Lorelai can recognize about half of the letters in the alphabet. Daddy and she have been working on them in her ABCs book. She is already great at singing them too!

Lorelai has a hilarious way of making Lexington laugh. She goes up to him and laughs as loud as she can in his face which usually makes him laugh as well. Goofballs.

Guess what arrived in the mail today. It's the paperwork for Saint Matt's preschool!  We told Lorelai that she got mail from her new school and now she keeps thinking she's going to school tomorrow with her cousin Nicky.

Lorelai was overjoyed to go to Nana's house today to play and for dinner. She and Chris played while the grandparents went out to see Nana's sister Karen for her birthday. Cousin Chris is so silly.

We went to Home Depot ( the Orange Project Store) and made a window frame today. Lorelai learned how to use a screw driver and did a really great job at it! She painted her masterpiece a combination of black, orange, pink, yellow, and tan. Later on, we went to Gigi's house to watch a horse race (and play with Uncle Spike).

We started using a leave-in conditioner with Lorelai (and Mama. We share big girl conditioner). With only two washes so far, you can really see the difference. The back of her hair is tangle-free, soft, and it curls a little. Now after a shower, we chat about big girl blue shampoo and how nice our hair smells. Same-same.

We went out to dinner tonight. Lorelai chose Outback because she wanted to have a cheeseburger. When the meal was ending, Lorelai told us that she wanted to pay with her credit card. Mama covered the check this time saying that Lorelai should save her credit card for a time when she wants something special at the store.

Lorelai was beyond excited to share a story from her day today when Mama got home from work. She had apparently asked Daddy if there was any mail for her. He handed over an Xfinity envelope and told her that there was. She ripped it open to find a plastic card inside. Lorelai has a credit card in her Minions wallet now. She is so proud- it is a credit card with ABCDs.

Lex had an appointment at AI DuPont hospital today. After we saw the Nutritionist, we played on the playground right outside. The playground has so many slides and swings-- we had a really great time. There was even a swing that Lorelai and Lex could use together!

We took Lex to his Doctor's appointment in Newtown Square. Lorelai was a big fan of this office-- the waiting room had a fun table with sand and magnets and the patient room had a step stool with a railing. Again, Lorelai very carefully watched to make sure her baby brother was taken care of properly when the Doctor and Nurse checked him over.

After Lex's baptism today, the cousins assembled at Nana's house for a party. Everyone was running around and playing when Lego's Ninjago was put on the TV and suddenly the kids were glued to the family room.

Toddler fashionista strikes again with another killer combo. Love it.
Lorelai dresses herself. This combo I was questioning but she pulls it off. Just to be clear, that's a black sparkly long sleeve shirt, neon flower and white skirt, navy with red and tan flowered knit stockings and light blue sparkly Frozen sneakers. Pair it with a Ninja Turtle crochet hat or navy spring jacket (hood up, required) and you are set. She tried to wear blue, pink, and white striped flip flops with this but they wouldn't stay on with the stockings.

Nana invited Lorelai over to teach her about necklaces while mama and daddy took Lexington to the doctor's. Nana said Lorelai is a wonderful teacher and Lorelai was more than excited to pass on her knowledge.

We took Lex to the doctor's office today. Lorelai paid careful observation of the Doctor's movements to make sure he was taking good care of her baby brother.

Lorelai, Daddy, and Lex were playing rescue puppies today while Mama was at work. They had an elaborate story line going where a helicopter, fire truck, police car, and a bulldozer were all needed to save the day!

We made a tent tonight with blankets and the couch while taking a break from Mario Kart. Lorelai used her light saber and flashlights so she could see in her new hiding space. Lex was taking a nap or he probably would have wanted to join in the fun too.

Last night, our little diva was so tried she could not get to her bed without incident. what normally is a 13 minute bedtime process turned unto a 67 minute one. It is 80 degrees out making it too warm to wear the one piece footed pajamas that Lorelai favors so we told her that they were all dirty. Channeling the Princess and the Pea, nothing was right for sleeping.

Here are some of the things Lorelai shouted as she was getting dressed for bed:
Sophia's hair is too long and not beautiful.
The Batman pants were too cold.
The fleece pants were too soft.
She doesn't like shorts!
The pants with lace on the bottom had freckles. No! We CAN'T wear them.

Lorelai has reached a big-girl status at Gigi's house. Now she has her own little table and stool for eating meals.

We watched Tangled tonight. Lorelai sat and paid attention thru most of the movie. She is a big fan of singing, adventure, and princesses. Oh, and hilarious horses of course.

Lorelai continues with her necklace making projects. She loves stringing the beads. Nana ordered more string for her. Now, Mama is on the hunt for more beads for the little artist.

Lorelai has been doing a great job with sharing. Lex is a big fan of the light saber toys.

Nana sent calendars with stickers home to Lorelai today to teach her about days of the week. Lorelai was delighted to see activity stickers tucked into the caledar pages so much so that she wanted to use all of them on the first day.
She is so sweet- she offered to share her new treasure (but on her terms). "Stickers are a little bit hard for Mommy's and grown ups. It's easy for little girls, Mom. I'll help you. I'll do it." Mama got to pick the sticker and Lorelai would peel it off and stick it to the page herself.

The Potty-Training Force is strong with this one. Lorelai gets "clean underwear" prizes everyday she does not have an accident. Her favorite prize recently are M&Ms Lightsabers Mama got from work. Hers lights up blue. Lex and Daddy have a red one.

Today we went to Sunshine's 2nd birthday party! She had a circus and carnival in her back yard!!

 Mama and Lorelai had a project today at the blue store. We made a little planter box with a clear window to see roots grow. Later, we played at Chris's house and had dinner at a restaurant with Grand Boop. It was a very busy day.

Mama came home from work today with some new beads for Lorelai. She used them to make a very beautiful rainbow necklace. She did all of the stringing of the beads. She was so proud of her creation that we needed to send Nana a picture while we were still working on it.
