Lorelai missed her friend Brianna. It was fun to get to play, though she said she was going to miss her family very much today. Today is Lexington’s first birthday! When he and Mama came to pick up Lorelai at Ms. Stebbins, Lorelai was very excited to kiss her baby and sing Happy Birthday to him.

Today was Lorelai’s first day of pre-school. She woke early and spent the morning with Nana. Nana said that she had school on the brain, building a school with blocks and learning to use big girl scissors in the craft room. Mama took her to school at noon where we met Aunt Cait and Nicky. Lorelai had fun coloring, playing with new toys and kids, and making music while Mama was downstairs learning from the principal. Afterwards, she was excited to pick up Lex so she could tell her baby about her adventures.

Tomorrow is Lorelai’s first day of pre-school. She is very excited and has many questions about going to school and when things will happen. She spent the day with Gigi, going on an adventure where they found berries in the park.

We had birthday cake tonight at Nana’s house for Lex. Lorelai’s baby brother is going up into a ‘cutie little boy’.

We had Pop-pop pizza night tonight. It is the newest version of our weekly family gathering. There won’t be any complaints from Lorelai. She loves pizza. And cousins.

We went to Uncle Spike and Aunt Erin's house tonight for dinner. Before eating, there were some games to play outside. Lorelai's version of Ladder Ball was quite interesting.

With Lorelai's guidance, Mama made a Shark Attack blanket for her. Alternate options included a mermaid tail but she said that if you spin the blanket around, it is both. So creative, this girl!

Happy Pop-pop Pizza Night. We moved the weekly family gatherings to Fridays now. It makes a nice cap to the week and start to the weekend. Having all the kids together can get quite noisy but we love to see them play.

We watched Beauty and the Beast for the first time today. Lorelai had a lot of logistical questions about their world but in the end really loved the story and the songs.

It was a very busy day of playing and giggles-- Mama almost forgot to get a picture of Lorelai! Sweet dreams, little princess.

Lorelai was too excited to receive mail from her teacher today. She starts Pre-School soon and her teach Mrs. Phillips, is very excited to meet her and her classmates.

A large box came in the mail this week. Coincidentally, we also enjoyed an episode of Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood where Daniel and his friends imagine that their box is many different fun things to play with. Lorelai declared the box to be a spaceship. She and Daddy colored and drew designs on the sides. Lex boarded the ship with the pilot, his big sister, and the two enjoyed being pushed around the room by Daddy... er... the ship's engines.

Lorelai is always looking for new things to teach to her baby bro even that thing that she is teaching isn't exactly what Mama and Daddy would prefer. Today, Lorelai was teaching Lex about the finer points of trying to sneak out of the gate into the bunny room.

Lorelai was able to keep on the "nail sticker" on her toes all day. So when mommy got home from work, Lorelai ran to her with excitement saying that she needed a full pedicure. Daddy said it was a focus all day.

Lorelai had a good time making up songs and dancing in the aisles of BJ's this afternoon.
Later on, Mama was applying new Jams tonight and Lorelai wanted in on the action too. The deal is if she can keep the stickers on her fingers and toes until mommy gets home from work tomorrow she can get a full set put on. Mama is a little bit nervous she's going to peel them.

We had an appointment with Lex's GI doctor today, Doctor 'Emmy as Lorelai calls him. Lorelai really loves this particular office. This table is magnetic and has cars and trucks you can drive thru the sand.

Aunt Mo asked Lorelai a very important question today. When Nana asked later what it was, Lorelai said that Aunt Mo wanted her to "wear a pretty blue dress and be a flower at her wedding." Close enough!

Lorelai woke today with a tummy ache very early- 6:30. After a few leaks and a lot of children's programming, she was feeling better by the afternoon. Daddy was at work today so mommy to the rescue!

We just spent a nice day at home with our family today. Lorelai is such a big girl and a big helper with her baby brother.

Mama brought home a broken keyboard for an art project. Upon seeing the board, Lorelai asked if she could play with it first. Lorelai was very excited to have a computer just like Mama and Daddy use. She tried to use it with her Handy Manny laptop. What an observant little girl!

Big sister and baby brother are playing kitties together. Lorelai is so excited for Lex to play with her and Lex is just excited to have her attention. They are an awesome team.

Lorelai wanted to teach Lex to pass the ball and play a game. He did a great job-- she is a wonderful teacher!

Lorelai and Mama went to Lucas's baseball game this morning. Jacob was very excited to play with her on the swings while Uncle Ron helped to coach. Aunt Mo and Chris came to play for a while too! Lorelai entertained the crowd by making up new songs with her cousins about having fun and swinging together.

Happy birthday, Lucas! Lorelai had an awesome time with her cousins today at Lucas's party. There was splashing and candy, cake and giggles. At one point, all of the cousins disappeared and were found next to a pile of wrappers inside the playset clubhouse and they thought their parents wouldn't notice!

Aunt Cait gave Lorelai a stuffed horse at Christmas. Recently, Lorelai has taken to grooming his mane and tail with her hairbrush, making him very beautiful and not so messy-mess. She also has taken over (for the most part) her own hair brushing. Mama and Daddy still like to give it a finishing polish but Lorelai enjoys being in control of things that she is capable of doing.

Lorelai had a wonderful day playing with her cousin Chris at the park and his house. After dinner, Chris took out his bike and Lorelai raced him on foot exclaiming that she is "fast like a cheeto!" Before going home, Aunt Mo gave Lorelai marshmallows and chocolate. She knows the way to her heart.

Lorelai is sporting another unique fashion choice today for our dinner at a restaurant with Grand Boop, Pop-pop, and Gigi. She is a little girl that knows what she likes.
Today we watched Cinderella for the first time. Lorelai was especially upset to see "those girls ripped Cinderella's dress" and the mice turn into horses. In the end, she was a fan of the Disney classic film.

We went shopping for a birthday present for Lucas today. While out we ran into Peter Pan (Nana's friend, Eddie). Lorelai spun, twirled, and danced around while Eddie and Mama talked a little.

"Peter Pan liked my moves and gave me a Jesse hat!"

We had a 10am appointment today to visit Lorelai's new pre-school, Saint Matthew's Christian Nursery School. Lorelai was so excited to be there and to see all of the kids. She is going to have a great time starting in September!

Happy birthday, Mama. We went out to dinner together as a family to celebrate. Lorelai takes after her mother in being a big fan of breadsticks.

When Mama got home from work today, Lorelai rushed to show her "Lea-lard-o's" injured hand. Some time while she was playing today and swinging him around, Leonardo's hand ripped on a seam. Mama knew just what to do and sewed up his hand to be stronger than ever. While we were at it, we closed up a back seam on Lambie. Lorelai was very grateful.

Lorelai is allowed to make necklaces in the back room only when Lex is napping. Our beads are very small and could hurt Lexington if he puts them in his little baby mouth.
Lorelai continues to make necklaces almost every day. She likes to use long strands and bead for hours. Her current necklace has been earmarked for her Pop-pop. He is going to love it.

Lorelai has her Pop-pop wrapped around her finger. It never fails that when she is visiting, Lorelai will sweet talk him into giving her at least two sweet treats before we leave for home. And it would seem that Pop-pop is more than happy to be victim to her charm.

Today we mailed Lauren her Mother's day necklace. Lorelai wrote her a very nice card with lots of colors. She was pointing out her name on the card for Mama as well.
When asked about the necklace gift, Lorelai jumped around the room saying: "They are gonna love them. And put them on their computer. They're for Mother's Day celebration. Bead necklace!"  Lorelai is very proud of her creations.

Lorelai has declared her new sun hat to be magic. She has been wearing it all around the house and driving daddy a little bonkers because she doesn't have a ton of spacial awareness. The hat has almost been crushed many times today.

She is growing up into a young woman so quickly. Lorelai is a remarkable little girl with a lot of personality and confidence.

Lorelai is building a wall to help keep Lex inside the back room. Lex has been on the move and Lorelai wants to help Daddy and keep her brother safe at the same time.

Lorelai woke up from a nightmare last night. She was worried about spiders and bugs. She asked for the stars light to be on so she can see at night. Daddy thinks it's because she saw a bee in her playroom yesterday.

"It's Mother's Day! All the moms are so excited!" - is what Mama heard this morning as Lorelai was waking her up.

Adorably, Lorelai expanded her Mother's Day necklace project from just for Nana and Gigi to include all of her cousin's mommies too. She declared that all of the mommys needed a necklace and got to work making them. Aunt Cait's was first then came Aunt Mo and Aunt Col. She keeps talking about making one for Aunt Lauren (she is a puppy mommy) and Pop-pop (not sure on the logic of that one other than she loves Pop-pop). Mama is hopeful that she will also be a lucky recipient of a necklace in the near future.

It was a super busy day today! Lorelai and Mama went to a project, went to Ikea with Nana, and made necklaces. Then we gathered up the family and went to dinner with Grand Boop.

Lorelai can recognize about half of the letters in the alphabet. Daddy and she have been working on them in her ABCs book. She is already great at singing them too!

Lorelai has a hilarious way of making Lexington laugh. She goes up to him and laughs as loud as she can in his face which usually makes him laugh as well. Goofballs.

Guess what arrived in the mail today. It's the paperwork for Saint Matt's preschool!  We told Lorelai that she got mail from her new school and now she keeps thinking she's going to school tomorrow with her cousin Nicky.
