When Mama comes home from word (and for other special events like peeing in the potty), Lorelai gets a few tic tacs in gleeful celebration. She often spends the next few hours carrying the candy around in a "bowl" while occasionally sucking on a single tac and replacing it in her collection. Eventually she will bite and chew the candy but only after she has fully savored the experience of waiting.
